7-9-09 Pre-drywall inspection

All security has been installed on the windows downstairs.

Master (Eric's) closet. They moved the studs over for the door on the right. And, moved the studs in front of the vents back (to the right) as much as possible.
They will be installing 5 shelves on the right side of the closet.
The patio! :{
Hard to tell... but the roof is shingled and completed.

We met with Dave and City Securities. Ruthie, our realtor, had City Securities come and do an additional inspection just to make sure everything was covered. Very comforting. Dave, our construction manager walked through with us and addressed all of the issues.

A couple of surprises and disappointments... but overall we are very happy and excited. The closet really cannot be fixed. Since the ducts are ran through the peak of the garage roof (rather than up through a basement) they are not able to put them in the place they are designed to be on the plans. They moved the studs for the door over, and moved the studs for in front of the ducts back a couple inches to maximize the space. They will be installing 5 shelves (for free) for us on the right side of the closet to somewhat compensate for the lack of space.

Also, we thought they poured us a new patio in the back and broke up and removed the old one. WELL... not so much... all they did was detach it from the foundation and move it to the other side!! YIKES!! They have a foundation inspector coming in to look at it and tell us if he thinks it's ok. I don't. I think they need to reframe, re-foot, and repour it when the pour the driveway. We'll see. I'm sure more updates to come.
